General David B. Birney   98
With Longstreet's Corps in the battle, Hancock's forces fell back to their Brock
Road breastworks (1). Longstreet then made a flank attack against Hancock's left
and rolled up General David B. Birney's troops like, according to Hancock, "a wet
blanket."
