ABOUT THIS SITE

Welcome to the U. S. A. Civil War Web Site (USACWWS).

Athough the site has over 1,200 photographs and 450 web pages, it is not overly complicated to use. (The brief description of the site, presented below, should help.)

There are a variety of subjects accessed via the image map on the home page, but the primary subject of this site, and the reason the site has over 450 pages, is the Civil War Photographs. Once you move from the home page to the main photograph page, you can easily access any of the site's photographs via subject matter links.

And if you get lost, Heaven forbid!, simply follow the links at the bottom of each page, to return back to the home page or any intervening pages.

Finally, I cannot pass up the opportunity to ask you to sign my guestbook. It will take you very little time and will provide me with a wealth of information.

Good luck,

  What's On The Site?

This site is divided into several sections
covering the following subjects:

How Do I Access The Sections?

All of these sections can be accessed directly
from the main index page by one of three ways:

  1. Select a section using the HOME PAGE IMAGE MAP , or

  2. Use the "SELECT A PAGE ON THIS SITE" drop-down list, located near the middle of the Home Page, or

  3. Use the SEARCH ENGINE, also located around the middle of the Home Page.

How Do I Find My Way Back?

To assist you in keeping track of your location on this web site, at the bottom of each page the path from the current page back to the Home Page (Home) is shown, as in this example (assuming that the current page is a Manassas section page):

Home > Civil War Photographs > Manassas > Current Page
