I retired November 1, 2001, from Verizon (C&P Telephone of Va, C&P Headquarters, Bell Atlantic of Va, and Bell Atlantic. Same company! They just can't seem to settle on a name). My main responsibility was providing staff and management support for the Verizon computer systems located in the Mid-Atlantic States. | |||

I served in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965 as a heavy ground radar repairman. My primary assignment was at an Air Force Radar Station near Manassas, Virginia (The Air Force Station is described on my daughter's web site, via this link). One of the radar units I maintained was an FPS-6A Height Finder radar, similar to the one illustrated here. | |||
