The Angle
  Site of Confederate penetration of Union Lines during Pickett's Charge, July 3, 1863.

You are looking from the Union position. The monument in the photo is located at "The Angle" which is made by the stone wall coming down from the right meeting the stone wall coming across from the left.

It was here, near the so-called "High Water Mark", where CSA General Lewis Armistead was killed.
